The interesting thing about this thread is that pretty much all the kite designers I know are following it, including some of the big companies. They all think it is interesting and slightly amusing. All agree though that the wind ranges quoted by Dimitri can't be accurate and that PMU is actually pretty close to the mark. Flame on..
Once again the videos and witnesses are here to prove you that I was able to kite on the INFINITY V3 with an SUP board in less then 5 knots. Check the video and check all the details you will see that I am barely moving on the water. If it was blowing more then 5 knots you would be able to see more resistance on the water.
Also I never said that any one can do this. But I did prove my point about how well the INFINITY v3 can stay up in the air in less then 5 knots while moving very slowly on an SUP board.
I hope all the other kite companies are watching this thread because it gives them a challenge to come up with something better, well that is if they can.
:naughty:

Yes it is important to SEE
And i think i could have done that  with your V3 or my RiotLW
I APPROVE that the wind was less than 5kn
IT WAS 4.9kn / 5.63mph
This is without a doubt the best documented video EVER of a vertical gradient wind

Congratulations for being at the right place at the right time..and knowing your local conditions

I have a spot like that where the flag on the flagpole lays totally flat...water is glass..you only feel 2kn

Yet i am riding on a regular strap surfboard with my 19m kite without witnesses or video cam

So thank you ...everyone can SEE now that magic wind does exist :thumb:

Wow. This thread has become as tedious as it must be to kite in less than 10 knots.
