I like real but i havent had any lessons yet. I have gotten most of my gear there but i know they are expensive. I had to wait for the right times to buy when they were having really good sales. The staff there have always been very nice so im sure the lessons would be enjoyable. I dont plan on taking my lessons there though since i know there are many other camps in the OBX that arent as expensive and just as good.

There's plenty of kite schools on the Outer Banks. Kitty Hawk Kites is before Real, then further south there is Ocean Air Sports. The whole camp thing is funny. If you already have gear and are just starting out, just go ahead with your basic group lesson that takes all day. If there is a program that has a second day the entails adding on to skills learned in the first day in addition to more water time, go for it. Then go for some private lessons and then supervised rides. I find a lot of people venture out too soon on their own with just one all day lesson. Often times people take privates too soon because they are not self sufficient with basics and you end up relying on the instructor with the jetski to do everything for you.
