Hi people, I want to buy a new lightwind board and I focus on nobile XTR because I am not interested in big doors board. I want something more fun and not too bad on chops. I guess Nobile XTR can be the right board for me but I have big doubt choosing 140 or 143. Does someone have experiences? How much I will loose in the low end with the140? how much more fun and higher end will have 140 compared to 143? My weight is 70 kg so I am not an heavy rider. Thanks a lot for any advice and experience

I weigh about 85kg and have been using a 143 XTR for a few years as my big TT with different 14m kites currently a '12 Airush 14 LW. This combo gets me going up wind in 12-13 knots pretty easily. Don't need to kite in less. The board is a nice combination of large board but with some rocker and soft tips rides well in chop and turns better than some others. Jumps well when powered. Depending on your kite size and low wind threshold, the 140 might be enough for you weight. For mine I'd stick with the 143..

Thanks for advice. I have a lithium 13 LW and actually with spleen session 141 x 43 I can ride from 10 knots on flat water. Session have the same shape of the door and have not a very good feeling in jumps and spray a lot water in chops. I want a better solution and guess XTR can be

Hey Franz,
You may as well go for the bigger one since you are looking for a low wind board, it will give you a bit more low end.
XTR is actually a very fun big board, you can go ahead and do on it whatever you do on your regular twintip.
Also XTR works great in chop, it is a smooth ride - nice rocker, it is shaped similarly to NHP but longer and wider.

The video confirm the XTR is the right choice. So reding piece of advice it looks even if I am 70kg (so not an heavy rider) the 143 x 48 is it a better choice than 140 x 46. I am asking because I have to buy without any chance to test the 2 different sizes

Franz, go 143, you will not feel the bigger size that much (only about inch longer) but will get more low end.
