I for one am pretty excited about this. The reason I fly edges is becuase they have some of the great aspect I loved about foils, but the LEI advantages.

As someone said they know how to design a wing...can't wait to see some reviews.

*cough* someone

Can't beat them, join them?

No.

Flysurfers main market share is for light winds. They have sold many many more 15-21m kites than 12 and under, thats where this kite will fit in i would imagine.

I for one would love to have a fly, Flysurfer and Ozone are two companies that due to their vast history in foils, know how to design a proper wing.

Afterall, they both make paragliders!

Is pictures real or just PMUish troll? But why would TE bridles not work?

With usual single point trailing edge supported LEI usually when you pull the bar on jumps then wing span of trailing edge comes narrower. This causes fabric of trailing edge to loosen a bit meaning that center of the kite AoA will not increase as much. So potential power is lost because of kite deformation.

I guess that Flysurfer could be trying to fix that whole trailing edge will stay better in form. They are experts in analyzing forces and cloth behaviour.

But I am waiting for real reviews..

Hmmm....

High aspect ratio....? Typical Flysurfer....it'll go like the provervial clappers...

Reverse bridles....? Interesting.... In the pictures it looks like the angle of attack can be changed significantly. Just guessing but this would allow a skilled rider to make significant adjustments on the move (e.g. so it pulls downwind as well as upwind).

My guess would be that this is a proto aimed at racing....truck up wind easily to the buouy...round the corner onto a downwind leg....now what....especially if your kite pulls up wind naturally? So the Edge comparison is probably spot on.

It'll be interesting to see if the back bridles are still there when it gets to production.
