Cab Custom is just amazing,
but you are gonna need some more speed to plane and gonne loose some upwind ability due to the flatter centre of the board, there s more concave in NHP.
Love the Custom though! Is quite unique.
North Gambler, Joke and Naish Momentum other choices..

Happy Kite Dahab

Did a bunch of measuring on all my boards, someone had asked about rocker sizes.

Here are some rough measurements.

Airush Livewire 2013 142 : 47 - 52 mm depending on where on the bat tail you measure.

Airush FS Park 2011 or 2012, not sure, 54 mm

Flexifoil Hadlow Freestyle Mk1 53 mm

Flexifoil Hadlow Wakestyle Mk1 55 mm

No worries. Throw me a pm with your finished product when you get there. Right now I have a ghetto plywood board going together, my base material will be a double layer of fibreglass and west epoxy. I KNOW the base material will last longer than the core so I wouldn't go apeshit trying to find the ULTIMATE base material your first few boards, as even a fibreglass + poly over foam core board will slide and last a decent amount of time.

Did you rip out inserts from your Hadlow board?

Don't get a Cabrinha Custom older than 2012...they look much better in terms of construction in the later models, I had a 2010, was seriously unimpressed a week after purchase.

^ Pretty sweet deal on an awesome board.
Just for the record, the Kaos is a very FLAT board = low rocker

I'd agree on the surface but I took it for a spin the year it came out and I thought it flexed like a mutha when you loaded it up and it could achieve a profile in the water that provided a launch comparable to other high rocker boards I'd owned at the time (Custom, some LF foam job that didn't really go anywhere)

Post a picture of the damage over on Board-Builders ; cause
that's a fairly easy Fix there Dudster ...

You can get a bit more complicated, by replacing a section of the core
in that spot, and make it so it Never breaks there again !!

If Ya live near Vegas, i'll show you how to fix it yourself, and supply
the materials, for a 12pk of Guinness stout & a bottle of JD !! :D

The core is entirely split down the middle, tip to tail, only the bottomsheet and topsheet are holding it together right now, so the plan is to hold onto the board until I have access to a proper workshop, remove the center 6" of core, tip to tail, remove the entire topsheet, and then relaminate it all together.

I'm in Canada or else I might take you up on your offer...my girlfriend is less than receptive to me doing the work in the living room.
