What are the current competitive race boards (production models)? After running a couple of races this weekend there is a new push to get some course racing going down here on the Gulf Coast. Thanks

Looks to me that they are new additions to the list. The next column shows the year and only 2013 boards are
Bolded.

When you say competitive..do you mean IKA competition boards or just good boards?
I have a Naish raceboard...the board is super easy to ride, and the new board has a lot more nose rocker which makes it great for the monster chop I am often riding in. It is not on the IKA list, but our local races here don't really care either way...which I guess holds for most local races...here any board goes.
One note when you decide for a board make sure you take a closer look at the fins. They matter a lot.

In my opinion,
1# Mikes lab or Temavento
2# Aguera or CF6

It is literally impossible to make a honest ranking - firstly no one has compared all the 2013 boards (bolded on IKA list) using same fins and same kites.
Secondly - all top riders are biased, they prefer one or another style of riding or feeling of the board.
My personal experience is that the board needs to be forgiving enough to let you finish the course without crashing. A fraction of knot in top speed doesn't count if you crash or have difficulties riding in the right position.
Another important point is - you need to trust your gear so there will be no excuses from giving 100% of what you can give.
From what I see at the Africans right now - all the other characterics are not that important. The top guys would be still top on any 2013 board.
My personal choice is N+1's FOKA
http://nplus1.pl/products/8-foka-13.html for it's huge rocker (no crashing on downwinds) and construction that guarantees durability.
But remember - I am also biased.

Nils Stolzlechner - shaper & founder of NJS designs now works for Gaastra and his newest model is the Gasstra Jet!
he just made it on the podium (in his class) at the african championships with the JET board and JET kites!
