been a while on the R2 20...but it feels similar in low end.
Maybe give the R2 1 knots more in low end, and the Dyno 18 3 knots more top end.
The material of the Dyno is very thin, since it is made for lightwind. Therefore it stays up in the air when the wind is very light...very stable.
But since the kite flutters during turns and loops on the trailing edge, it wears exactly there.
Just above the green end. It thins out. Then I add a stripe of material there to make it work again.
I suggest North to add more material there to make it longer lasting.
Fronttube is ok, but I pump it hard, so seems can open, or break. I also suggest North to reinforce the material there.
I hope they listen to me...but the problem is the demand. But I think the potential is higher than those race kites...once people see my DVD and can see what I can do with this kite, they might rethink their gear, because with a kite like this many more tricks are possible. For heavier riders and lighter winds.
Slow, stable, lift, hangtime, and turning when you need it. Just had another great session in maybe 9-14 knots.
But I keep hearing good things about the Edge...so if anyone tested both, would be really interesting to hear. Since I am not sponsored I can ride what suits me the best. Very happy about that!
Latest at the world cup in Germany I will try more different kites to see what is out there. It is the biggest demo event worldwide, perfect place to demo it all !
