Hi,

In the past 4 years I am riding Slingshot Revs and like them a lot.
Thinking of replacing them with Octanes which should be really similar.

Any one can tell the difference between the kites? Is the Octane as good as the Rev?

Thanks

I have a joyous quiver of Revs and one 11m Octane. The Octane is similar but somehow just not as good as the Revs. I'm afraid I can't quite out my finger on it. Dig out another Rev if you can and if you can find any still in decent condition.

I read in older posts some claiming that the kite over flies and falls down in gusts. Same with you?

in the gusty wind Octane overflying and fall from the sky. Specially if you don't move with a kite....( standing on the beach.... )
I would suggest you to buy SS Rally!

Here's a good forum thread on the 2010 Slingshot Octane.

Octanes were junk.
I still have an 11 that is not too bad cuase i take it out in stronger winds but still have to watch over flying it sometimes. I sold my 15 after half a season. That thing would drop all the time.
