Hi everyone,
I am thinking about spending my hollydays in august at puerto rico, one week (10-17) in San Juan and another week (17-24) in a cruise kiting in Antigua, Barbados, Martinique,etc...
But i heard that in this month (august) the weather is a little bit unstable... i dont know if is better to go kitting another place in the world, or try to go 3-17 instead of 10-24... dont know... if it rains a lot it will be an epic fail... someone has gone there in this month?

Thanks!

Hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30 on the island and for the other islands in the Caribbean Sea. So you can have a hurricane in June or July. You have to realize that the island is not continually besieged by storms and bad weather for the entire six months.
The season is more active from mid of September to mid of October.
But tropical storms or hurricanes not necesarry are going to pass close to Puerto Rico. They can pass up North or by the South of the island.
August is a great month to visit Puerto Rico.

You're right , the rainy season is only the entire stretch of September, October and November

Here is the monthly breakdown for wind in san juan.
I was there June-August two years back. July was better but did get in a session 50% of the days in first half of August.
