Hello everyone :)

Who am I? One year ago I've decided I can't live without kitesurfing anymore, I put aside everything I had in my life so far and I've been roaming the world since, going from place to place in search of new experiences and riding conditions. I'm called Suzana, I travel, take photos, write stories for my blog and fanpage, make small videos, teach kitesurfing and ride kites for the living. Everywhere I go I learn something new, discover things I didn't even know existed, change my view of the world. Somewhere along the way a few nice brands have decided to support me in following my dreams and started sponsoring me and one year later here I am, writing these words :)

I want to see everything there is to see and more.
I want to take active part in developing women kitesurfing in my country and abroad.
I want to never stop flying kites and build my future on it.

I'v started a funpage and blog I KITE IT to share my experiences and all the funny small things I come across along the way. If anyone's interested, here they are:
fanpage: http://www.facebook.com/ikiteit
blog: http://ikiteit.wordpress.com

hopefully I'll be a frequent guest over here from now on! :)

May wind be with you,
Suzana

Nice page. It is entertaining to get to watch someone living their dream. :thumb: I am also obsessed with Kiting and have been trying to get my daughters (21 and 22) into the sport. They are both good wakeboarders, but the process of learning to fly the kite is always too time comsuming or too much trouble to them. I am sure that will change if I can just get them to the point of their first good ride under a kite. Looking forward to following your adventures and showing my girls what they are missing out on. :bye:

Yeah, I think anyone can do it, the hardest part is the beginning... then it all just goes smoother and smoother :)

I had a very nice evening session two days ago, the conditions lately have been just sick! Windy everyday for at least a few hours if not the whole day... I'm really happy cause usually Egypt is good, but not yet THAT good in April :) A lot of riding!

Image

and today we did a downwind only for girls, it was so much fun to ride with everyone :)

Image

there was a local competition called Spring Jamboree not long ago, I managed to get 2nd place... for a first comp ever not bad :)

may wind be with you,
Suzana

Hi there!

It's been a long time since I last wrote something here... I've been invited to join a one week kitesafari trip in Egypt as a guest rider two weeks ago and so the whole last week I've spent on a big boat - sleeping, eating, riding and just having the time of my life. The island where we stayed most of the time was very small and completely empty, with flat, clear water and perfect conditions for practice :)

My video from this amazing trip will be published on Saturday, so stay tuned! :)

Below you will find a few screenshots from the gopro footage:

Awesome post Suzanne. I live in Egypt now too and I am wondering where do you go for the KiteSafari. Where you guys located. I just took the course a month ago and Im practicing but I would love to take a vacation for a couple of days and go for 4 straight days or something. I am typically at Ras Sedr in Sinai.

Hi!

The trip is always 1 week long, the boat starts in Hurghada and depending on the forecast moves to different islands a few hours away. As the islands are further into the sea, there is almost always wind :) All the details can be found here:

http://www.fun-kite.com/index.php/en/safari-boat

you can always drop Phil (the owner/organizer) an email asking about things at cruise@fun-kite.com

tell him you've got his email from Suzana, might help ;)

cheers!

Hi everyone! I've published my new video today and so I'd like to share it here :)

Freeriding as a way of life is very different from freestyle and competitions. It is based on traveling the world, discovering new cultures, new destinations, new riding conditions. It's the most wonderful thing and I am very commited to it, but from a professional rider perspective it can be tough in it's own way sometimes, especially when you are stuck in a place with conditions clearly not suitable for learning new tricks and in the back of your head you know that all your friends are elsewhere, practicing and moving forward with their riding...

...but then you arrive at a destination like Tawila Island in Egypt, where this video was filmed, you look around and see this wild, mindblowing place full of birds and crabs, with flat crystal-clear water, you realise your love for kitesurfing brought you there and you think to yourself "I must be crazy! I have the best job in the world and it doesn't matter that others move forward faster!", which is the message I would like to send to everyone watching this short edit.

You don't have to compare yourself to anyone. You don't have to compete if you don't want to. If you discover what you love most and have enough courage to pursue it, you have already won. You are already Superhuman.

rider: Zuza 'Suzana' Czaplinska
cam/edit: Zuza 'Suzana' Czaplinska
music: 'Superhuman' - Virtual Riot ft. Amba Shepherd

I hope you will enjoy the Tawila Island edit and big thanks go to Phil from Fun Kite for sponsoring me with this amazing kitesafari trip!!! Check out their website: fun-kite.com/index.php/en/

sponsors: Cabrinha, Evokaii, GoPro, 24surf.pl
