Hi mates, I have a Bravo BST-12 Kite Pump from a year ago (maybe 50-70 sesions)
And now my pump not work correctly, i thought the problem is the battery but i had bought another one and pump no works correctly.
to put just in the first phase with the air without the compressor pump pressure off without just having the kite
Only gets some air to the kite and the compressor work lasts two or three seconds nothing else.
sombebody helps me to know where is the problem?
I think it must be a common problem for all compressors, someone knows something
Should I change any component?

It still sounds like a battery issue to me, even though you have a new one.
Have your battery tested and your charger.
alternative test would be to hook it up to your car battery,
if it runs then, you know where the issue is.
Process of elimination.

strange situation, I bought new battery is fully charged.
A car battery will f*** not the compressor ?

I have one that is about 4 years old but hasn't been used much. I found that the valve which triggers the pressure sensor could stick and the pump would stay on the low pressure stage for too long.
I modified my pump as per Spork's information and do the switch to the high pressure stage manually. I also check by hand when the kite is inflated enough.

Very useful; especially for someone with a back injury. I found that they don't last so long.
Mine lasted 2 years. I have to admit that I ride very often and use very often big kites.
My friend one's lasted also +- 2 years. + I know another guy who had one which also failed after a couple of years.
Still I will buy another one. I get them at 150$ in Ontario; no one sells them here in Quebec.
What broke on mine was the compressor.

If it is a BST 12 and uses a 12V battery, your car battery is the same voltage.
Voltage is the power, 12V is 12V, big battery or small.

I've replace the guts to mine old version a few times to keep it running.
You can find both the low stage compressor and the high stage.
From this site, not sure if they have them in stock or not.

I would let it run until it made a mistake and then modify it.
The one with the analogue gauge is cheaper. I'm with you in that I would like them to make one with a toggle switch and just let us switch each stage on or off. One less thing to go wrong (that we can't blame on ourselves).
They should have made it more reliable by now, so I may decide to get one.
They should maybe add a pocket where you could put a 7AH 12V battery.

$58 for the low pressure stage plus postage to the UK, plus taxes is why I bought a Coleman for £9.99 and wired it to a switch on the BST12.
Its cumbersome but works.

I have a friend that has the new model.
We were able to fit a 12V 7AH battery in the pocket on the side.
If any one is interested in Lithium Iron Phosphate(LiFePO4)
12V 7AH sealed lead acid replacements, 1/4 the weight, but 4 times the price.
