I have no style whatsoever but the Shinn boards are about having the most fun is the biggest range of condtions!

Eppo - I think word promoter is a wee bit wrong. I know Mike and through him and my travels to Medano I have shared a beer with Mark. However, I have nothing to gain financially from being enthusiastic about the brand and unlike some I won't pimp on any thread - only where I genuinely think a Shinn Board will be the right board. Kami is a big dude who wants to ride and have fun in chop then he seriously has to consider a Shinn - it is the goto choice of loads of bigger guys in nasty UK slop... and us svelte 78kg 38 year old Scots have fun on them too :thumb:

See, that's exactly why I need the stylish paint job - people won't be going "Yo check out those awesome moves!" but perhaps they'll be going "Well, at least the board looks good." :D

Gang scrawl... maybe I want a Best board with some gangster hands on it?

Seems my options are diminishing rapidly... why O why can't I get a demo?!?!

I'm fan of Aboards already many years. Love their boards, quality in performance is great for all models. And Z-series seems to fit great for your needs.

With all the recommendations for Shinn boards it surprises me that no one mentioned The Street for the op. The Street is the best kept secret among tt's and Shinn boards. After demoing lots of boards, The Street is my board of choice for an all-around freeride/freestyle twintip. The 137x42.5 size is superb and rides smaller than the dimensions indicate. It planes quickly, has great pop, rides smooth through chop, is super energetic & fun to ride. It's only limitation is larger waves, but directionals are for those conditions. Try one with the 43mm fins, I think you'll be surprised & stoked. :thumb:

I've also owned a Street and it is a good mix of the (old) Monk and the SuperShinn. However I think the newer MF is better as anaggressive all-rounder and a lot of heavier UK guys have chosen the SuperShinn over both.

For what the OP said he wants - big board abilities in a small board feel with 'chuckability' and boosting then the new Speedball W18 could be ideal?

Hey O'n B'!!!!

That's my living room!
lol.

For twin tips I don't think you can go wrong with a Shinn or Nobile.
(yeah the Shinn fans should acknowledge the Nobile DNA..........I don't find a big difference between how they ride. Both excellent.)
I was also VERY impressed with the carbon BroKite boards I rode in Texas a few weeks ago. I would give them a serious look next time I'm in the market for a new board.

Demo everything you can get your hands on. Boards are as different as people. Some suck, some are awesome.

Don't buy, (or not buy!) a board because of graphics.............I'm guilty of this too.
Sometimes the uggos give the best lovin'. :cool2:

The Aboards Z-series will fit your needs nicely.

Awesome build quality, it feels rock solid in your hands.

Smooth in chop and landings, no spay, fast turner if you want to.

Great pop, good for unhooking and edging before boosting.

Good comfy footpads.

Good value for your money..

At this point, I think I've pretty much decided on the Axis, over the Shinn... cos it's prettier :D

Aboards and Nobile, I have no options on discount prices which is a shame cos they're both great looking boards...

Looking forward to seeing what you choose. After all this, I have some serious expectations for the looks of this board.

I heard great things about the Aboards.
I also heard the Nobile are very good...almost as good as the Shinns!! :P jk,jk,jk.
Glad you have something fun to look forward to Kami.
New toys are good for you.
