Yeh been on the axis boards a little. Good boards but they require you to track at a certain angle regarding the interplay of edge and fins. Hard to describe, but they don't like to be ridden flat at all. Depends on what you want. But good boards when you ride them as they dictate how you should ride them if you know what I mean.

Considered a xenon laluz at all? There is a good australian made board called a cardboard tempo as well, only thing is the footstraps are terrible. You gotta demo man, graphics are worth shit, its the performance that counts and does it click with you.

All boards are like that though, aren't they? Have a balance they like, between edging and fin. I don't ride them flat anyway - I like to lean back against the kite :)

If I want to demo it, I have to buy it first :( there is literally no chance, except for the few demo days, to try boards out. And the demo days will be small sizes for the weenies here.

The Xenon board selector says the Rayo for me...

Wakesytle? I have boards with rocker and can hardly ride them unless the kite is so close to it's top end we're about to go into orbit :(

There is a disturbance in the force.

The Axis is now suddenly $200 more expensive than it's supposed to be - waiting for a breakdown of the total they sent me...

And after talking to Hironobu (our local PKRA etc champ!) he reckons the Naish Hero is a great board - he's been using it instead of his expensive top-of-the-line freestyle boards! He even offered to let me have a ride, next time we get some wind. My god, a demo!

Still, the price... Y90,000 bought here or Y77,000 bought and shipped from the US :-?

Looks interesting with lots of size options. Great price too. I wonder if the amount of rocker it has would affect upwind capability. Not likely though since its a 2012. Graphics seem to be pretty much the Naish emblem, but still looks good. I was expecting something flashier. :naughty:

Brighter. A big splodge of red will be easy to spot too :D

Finding a 2012 board is proving to be tough - they either have in them in the size I don't want, are trying to charge 2014 prices, or are in Indonesia.

Where did you spy them?

They review really well, especially from the big guys. SupaEZ was saying though that the XL, which is listed as 138x45 is actually 148x45...

So the list is now...

Axis Vanguard 138x43
Naish Haze 140x42
Naish Hero 140x43
Cabrinha Tronic Wide 140x42
Nobile 2HD 137x43 but I think I'm dreaming getting one of them for a decent price... oh how I drool though!

Here is where I saw them. Sorry. No clue about shipping to Japan, so that is probably the issue.

Trying to save money, not spend even more! :)

I thought that Indonesia site was the dodgy one...
