Hi Toby,
I received my DVD yesterday and spent my night enjoying the first chapters. It's by far the best film I saw for a long time, and I'm not saying this because you realized it.
First of all, in the film there isn't the always present, already saw two thousand times "soul" introduction: the flight, the driving to the beach, the cool atmosphere, pumping the kite, etc. This is really tooooo boring, every, every video shows the same scenes!
Second, Strictly Hooked is not an istructional video but you can learn from it and actually try some tricks. All the other videos are a long sequence of handle passes and super pro tricks that only the 2% of us can imagine to try.
Third, the film is really pleasant to see, it's never repetitive or drab, you just enjoy the tricks. There's the right rhythm, not too fast, not too slow. I really liked the "crashes" chatpter and the way you walk over the water.
Last but not least, the price is ridicolous compared to the work you put in it and the amount of filming time and you also found the time to insert a personalized postcard in the envelope!!
Many thanks for this Toby, if you're coming to Italy just tell me, I owe you a good bottle of italian wine!

Disagree!
I think music included in the DVD sucs big time and songs are repeating. WTF???
I did a couple of songs 15 years ago in one of those "lego" programs. I bet they sounded better.
Edit!? The crew doesn't have experience with action videos!? Not cut to the music (although I hate the music
)
Shots in the lagune where you shot back rolls, duble and triple back roll and many other tricks, W(hy)TF do we have to look at you edging hard @ every single trick??
All this makes it very hard (exhausting) to watch. Like trailers would be done by a totaly different crew.
However, for Toby's part, I can only say
p.s.: You don't have 666 tricks, because many of them are COMBOs

Have to disagree with the above poster, obviously there are going to be people complain about everthing . I thought the music was appropriate, of course you have to loop it it to cover the distance of the dvd.
I thought the editing was well done, alot of tricks are variations but this has to be done to cover the 666 tricks.
Overall the dvd has been well put together I'm sure everyone who views it will get something out of it because there's some wicked tricks in there and very reasonably priced .

I love it! Thanks Toby!
With so many tricks, how do you decide which one to do? Do you decide before you leave the water what you are going to do, or do you just see how the jump goes and see what happens?
My favorite part so far is in the crashes section where you drop the board just after leaving the water. Then you cross your arms and wait for a good 6 or 7 seconds before you finally land, haha.

Well, I sometimes get confused...go high and then can't remember
But I am thinking tricks the whole time what to do next...and bam, there is a new idea
Problem in competition as well...what shall I show in 6 min? hate it!
Yes, that crash is fun! Love it too!
