I really prefer simple clean lines on boards and kites and cars and motorcycles and mountain bikes and snowboards and guitars and......
Probably because I'm old and have seen all the busy stuff come and go a dozen times since 1965.
Classic expensive cars look classic and expensive because of their simple clean lines and colors that you can still stand to look at in twenty years.

Fascinating how snowboard and kiteboard graphics are mostly a game of follow the leader, involving hodgepodge designs that in almost any other discipline could cost a so-called designer his or her job. Could skulls have lost their originality after the first thousand iterations or so?
Recently I was in a snowboard shop, looking at a wall of a hundred or so snowboards, all but one utterly unoriginal in some apparently ironic quest for... dare I say originality?
This, by the way, was the one exception, at least on the top (visible) side:
Cheers,
James

My first asymetrical race snowboard with plate bindings was just black with a small F2 printed in near the nose....the base was all black also.
The pic below is not the board but it looks like F2 still keeps it very simple
Unfortunately, my Raichle hardboots were white with bright purple and a hot red neon.
The Raichle boots were very typical of snowboard gear colors at the time.
By the time I wore those two pieces of gear out, I loved the look of the F2 board and just hated the look of the boots.
The Shinn boards above remind me of that F2.
And I know Mark Shinn still rides race style snowboards with hardboots now and again.
Maybe his graphic choices come from the same spot that my affinities do!

100% Correcto.. But this aint about what rides best. All about admiring some cool graphics. Totally subjective and personal choice..

Yikes!
I am with jumarcil on this one. That is one seriously ugly board IMO. I do like your first choice though. Get that put on a Shinn and that sucker would sell.
Putting that on the top of the board would sure help keep you from watching the kite too much.
