Does anyone know of any shops in Beijing or Shanghai selling kite surfing gear ... ?????

I believe no shops but if you buy from US internet shops you should be able to get a discount on shipping charges. Shipments TO China are cheap because most transport capacity is FROM china so lots of spare capacity going the other way. Ask around and haggle...
