It could be much worse. I will go out if I get a few forecasts that are confident wind will be above 10kts, and if it actually is I am happy and get some kiting in. Its all relative I guess.

Last year 182 days..so far this year 74 days..i would say 3 to 4 times a week year round average
Living 800 ft from ocean...working 8 minutes from home..getting off work by 4pm.....helps a lot!
Having LW kite (Riot 19) gets you powered in 8-10kn which really can bring your numbers up!
...........

.. cheers from central surf side of Florida.......

Move to the sea, put more focus on your passion or at least enable yourself to kite as much as possible.

Pretty much what I did ... get 2-3 sessions per week done ...

I average 130 hours a year and that equates to roughly an hour a session.
During daylight saving I get a session almost every night after work and both days on the weekend.
Out of the season I get sessions most weekends.
I also paraglide and get about 80 hours a year and that takes out a lot of weekend and holiday kiting time.

Had 34 so far this year, but the one before last night was utter crap. Got just over 100 last year... wish it was more! Or just better wind

Didnt log last year but it was around 200 days. This year I log the days I'm not on the water (easier) I'm on the west coast of Vancouver Island for the summers and Vietnam in the winter. Have over 100 days already this year.
For those who kite 100+ days a year, It is more a lifestyle we seek above most other things. Most of us have jobs that allow lots of free time to kite and are often self employed.
Life is all about "Your wildest dreams" If you spend more time kitesurfing you may have to give up whatever else you were doing in that time and decide if it is worth it. Find a balance that you're happy with. Dont wait till old age retirement!
