I recently got a Fat Lady V2, and I only have 1 tt board a Tona POP 138 with boots, and I can go out and hold my ground, even jump if I get enough speed in 12kts, haven't tried with my Surf board yet, but I expect to get at least another kt out of it with it, maybe, the FL is definitely work looking into. I fly it with a Wainman L Carrot Bar, which is 3cm shorter than the blade bar, all it means is that you have to get reaaaaally aggressive with the handling of the bar, to get it to move as intended I guess.
Last few sesh I've been flying it with the new blade bar (a demo) and its sweet, so looking for a new bar for it, probably gona go with the mutiny bar, I love the simplicity and the Geko grip rocks!
Highly recommend this kite, is really quick, I've only flown a couple of bigger kites (Switch blades) and is definitely quicker than a 2011 16m SB I used to have, and feels a hair or maybe I'm imagining stuff, but feels just a bit quicker than a 2011 14m Switchblade.
It rides beautiful in our Florida conditions, choppy ocean, strong current at times, but I've ridden it in flat water, and its an overall sick kite in any condition, I'm really happy with this addition to my quiver. I guess for me it's a 14-18kts kite, I took it out in 20kts, completely depowered in a flat water sesh on the west coast of FL (Marco Island), it wasn't supposed to be that windy, and had to ride back and get my 12m, I wasn't ridding, more like hanging for my life, lol.
Its a kite worth looking into. I couldn't demo one, so I took the plunge based on a recommendation of a buddy in San Diego (Light wind city) and decided to just get one. But it is a really fun kite to fly.
My quiver now is: mr green, smoke, boss, fat lady
