Why? Why? Why?

Postby marlboroughman » Mon May 27, 2013 6:54 pm

With all the new boards I still can't find what I want.
Surfboards:
I ride mostly inland or Carribean, small waves or swell with little energy to them and chop in between. So I need to use the kite to create speed and control the board with the straps.
Why no three strap configuration anymore which worked so well in these conditions?

I would like to ride a mutant like this.

Why not making them smaller? Why no further aft three strap configuration without nose fins?

I would like lite wind mutant like this:

Why they don't make them any more. More lite wind performance from smaller size. 140 cm perfect for travel in a smallest of travel bags. Why?

It used to be because nobody knows how to jibe. It's different now everyone rides directionals so why? why? why? not.

Well if you know what you want, then just order that board with a shaper. Or if you find the board that hou like but just need a 3 strap setup, then just mold in some plugs dore the straps or have a shaper doing it fore you

Most don't need three straps...except the wider ones. The naish bullet has three strap configuration. It is a light wind board that can be used a bit in surf.
but you are right great for control I. High speed..

No man they are designed as twin tips. Because of that they are way too big. I am talking about a directional mutant with flat rocker at the back that way it can be way smaller.

Excectly and we need three straps on great lakes caribbean hatteras etc. We don't stand on the top of the board like you guys. We chase the wave with speed like windsurfers.

I think also RRD Domingo supports 3 strap configuration.
