About me:
Last year I started practicing airpasses and crashed a lot. I set up a bar hanging down from a tree to improve my technique on windless days, which has worked out pretty well as long as I don't have to put a board on my feet.
At the moment (for example : a 313) I stomp one airpass, but I guess that it is some kind of luck, because I start crashing ten in a row or more after that.
Somehow I can't get it done( from what I've seen on pics) to pull cleanly the bar down to my hip with the weight of the board.
Does/did anyone else have this problem and solve it?
How did you do it?

I had the same problem, I could never pull the bar in to pass it. I basically hit the gym and made myself stronger. I did lots of pull ups and tonnes of kiteboarding specific excercises from this website
http://www.kiteboardingexercises.com/ Really improved my core and arm muscles. Also try going to a cable park, if they have a kicker there you can practice your handle pass spins wich will build muscle memory on how to handle pass. Hope that helps!!!!!!

Here's a post where I asked pretty much the same question
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=2380009
I'm not a huge fan of the 'hit the gym' answer, I'm sure it does help, but its somewhat of a brute force method! I'd be very much surprised if your technique is perfect and your failure is purely down to lack of strength
There are some good suggestions on the thread above, and also a video of me missing a pass too

Hey peet,
my problem is similar to yours. It's just damn frustrating...
Every time I think that i 've got the clue of it, I start crashing again.
If I failed at an attempt, I would need in most cases about 10cm to catch the bar.
Maybe I should try to put a board on my feet, as soon as I start my workout on the bar hanging in the garden

The 313 may not win you a pkra event but it is still a very physically strenuous move. I'm sure that good tecknique would make up for a lack of strength, but you still have to be physically prepared for the pass. Most competitive kiteboarders train in the gym to improve there power while in the air.
Kind of gone of topic here
