Maybe they added one of those small flexible batons to it and its keeping its shape? They just released the Ride 2...Think they will release another one within 6 months?

No. it's an optical effect
The Ride 8 is in front another orange kite, supposedely a Park "with center strut"
The Ride 2 is still a two struts kite:

Thanks Phil, Indeed it's an optical effect
I see now it's a white/orange kite (Park) in front of the completely orange kite (Ride)
Glad to see they stay with the 2 strut strategy, I like it

The new Ride 9 is a fantastic wave riding kite!!!! I've had it out a few times now and have only good experiences...drift..turning speed...stability...all of it
