You only had to look at windsurf boards to know the design was going that way.
when we developped our 2012 raceboard (august/september 2011) it was told that the new courses would have had much less upwind
and much longer downwind ... in 2012 we have always raced with very long upwind.. if you look at windsurfing ..
the difference between a formula board and a slalom one is the same as our race and slalom board.
knowing that the dead line for the actual board was dec31 2012.. I took all the time at my disposal to develop the 2013 RC 70 cause this board will have to last
for 2 season racing
then there is the scoop/rocker line story
every shaper choose his own compromise.
Bonaire and San Francisco have very different water plans
but we have to find the right compromise cause we cannot vary the rocker
