At least it doesn't back stall or look unstable...

Nice video. That can't be more than 2-4 mph? ;-)

Anyways, hoping more people get to try it. Everyone that has tried the strutless designs here have liked them.

We found some stronger wind last weekend and scored a proper ses on the Trip. Although unexpected, we really have no complaints with the kite yet. Still are waiting for waves as we're expecting excellent drift out of it, but our waves won't fire up for another 2 months. Jumps, kiteloops, hard turns, relaunching, and wind range have all been impressive. Our conclusion so far is that it behaves just like any other kite with the benefits of packing up into a miniature backpack. Hopefully they'll make a 7m fanny pack edition.

Description:
On our second test we took the Trip out on Lake Michigan in some stronger wind than the first video. Wind was averaging low to mid 20's with some gusts near 30; at 150lbs (68 kilos), the higher gusts were near the top end we'd feel comfortable having this kite out it. We've always recommended a 10m if you're going for a 1 kite quiver, and this one's range has proven to be fantastic.

We did some freestyle, jumps, kiteloops, and surf style to test out the abilities of the kite. We also crashed it in deep water and pulled the quick release to make sure that a strutless kite can still relaunch and not turn into a wet garbage bag.

Pretty much proof of concept. I like the honest name and positioning of this Product.
What do you think the wind range is for 75 kgs on a typical kite surfboard?

Interesting you say it doesn't backstall, I was at the beach when the Real guys were testing theirs and it was backstalling all over the place even when depowered. It was just about ideal 10m wind too, I was riding a 9m envy.

It looks like a cool kite to take on a trip, I think that's really the idea. Great concept for something that packs down sooooo small you can throw it in with your other luggage and get a session in.

IDK you still gotta pack a board. If thats its only selling point, Im not really interested. If it can work as well as the best three strut kites out now then Im all in. Simple is better.
