Someone told me that Jerry's house launch at lola was closed now. Does anyone know if that is true? Thanks.

yeah maybe, but most people head down further to the marina spot known as grassy point. still in the same general area just further down from the bridge.

:o

Holy shit I hope not! That's a great spot.

Jerry and Maggie are good people. They made our vacation to Corpus awesome when we were there in March.

I'm super bummed for them if the spot is closed....

I would guess that you can still kite from there , if you park in a good spot (not Jerry's driveway) and you do not make his home/yard/patio your home, without being invited.
When I have kited there, I get out of my truck and walk directly to the point of launch and pump up and go out on the water.
I think some folks were getting too comfortable with imposing on Jerry and Maggie whenever they felt like it.

That makes sense. We have always parked on the dirt behind his house or an the dirt across the street. Some people just have no sensibility about things. Thanks for the info.

You can ride there. Just have to buy a Brokite board first!! :D At the very least, see if you can demo one. You will love it and probably buy one anyway. Just be cool, don't launch or land by the house, don't ride by the islands where the birds do their thing and you will be fine.
