GoPro anti-fogging?

Postby Windrider » Mon Jun 24, 2013 3:33 am

Haven't had much luck with stopping the fogging inside the GoPro camera case. I have an HD Hero2 and use Rain-X Anti-Fog, but it doesn't really work too well. Anyone found something that works?

Be prepared for a flood of "I do this and it works" posts :D

Here's what I did to stop my GoPro fogging... bought a Contour Roam 2.

With my GoPro HD1, some methods work sometimes but nothing works all the time. It's bloody annoying.

Leave it open on your car's dashboard with the A/C on for a few minutes. It dries the air = no condensation. easy.
many pro surf photogs do this with their water housings.

I had three hero 2 cameras and used them in temps from 18- 38 degrees C. I always had the absorbent pads, 2 strips per camera. No more fogging.
