Litest wind i can ride a 15 naish cult weighing 190lbs?

Wind this weekend supposed to be around 13mph. Can i ride a 15? I weight 190 board is a 137.

you should be good...but it depends also on other specs of the board :-)

If the forecast holds, and it is 13mph (5.8m/s or 11 knots), you can NOT ride on that boardsize with your weight and a 15m2 Cult.
I assume it is summerconditions ?

If the wind is just a bit higher than 13mph, you might be able to ride, but most likely not hold ground.

I think you need around 15mph, before you can go on such a board, and a bit more in order to go upwind :thumb:

But forecasts are only forecasts - maybe there will be more wind :rollgrin:

I agree with Peter.
Note that your board is what is holding you back. A 39.5 cm wide twin tip is rather small for a guy your size. Get a light wind specific board like a 'door' type twin tip or a raceboard and you will ride in lighter winds.

The other thing that may play a role in riding in light wind conditions is the water current. It always seems to take off a few knots for me.

Wjat size board should i get for light winds? I rode a 158 breeze this year which was good. Theu are expensive though.
