2014 Compstick Control Bar with Guardian Safety

main_feature_compstick_wht.jpg
Today’s riders need to be at the center of control. Building on 4 consecutive World Championships, the new Compstick with Flight Control and our patented Rider Control Center, is the safest, most comprehensive andWe focused on the performance of three individual zones which work together to provide a world class rider-centric control system. This new approach takes into account 3 specific areas: Flight Control - Above the Bar, Compstick - At the Bar, Rider Control Center - Below the Bar. All three critical areas have been optimized to work in balanced harmony. As a complete system, the 2014 Compstick blends the critical elements of safety, kite control, de-power, and convenience into a rider experience that is tested, trusted, simple, smooth, and intuitive.

Good to see they have redesigned the butter box, I hope the metal loops on the ends of the chicken loop have also had a redesign as the look worryingly similar. Is the swivel Ceramic now?

I love sales speak, it makes no sense but sounds great. really nice looking bar, however I agree about the below the bar trim. Never liked it.

Great idea to use the young lady as the static model - grabbed my attention striaght away.

Who writes narrative for this?
Trim line 3 to 1?
is he on crack?
Sure, theoretically you can push the line away from you against that little metal hoop and get some advantage, but in doing so you also double the friction, reduce available muscle power to do the job by 75%, and take your weight out of the equation. Basic ergonomics.
Why would I want 3:1 purchase with only 50N force input instead of 2:1 with 200N plus my weight?
Do the math...
For the 7th or 8th time, please offer above the bar again...
And less clunky sinking metal, please. 8)

yyyeaah... (videos 00:36)... 47cm "industry largest bar throw"...

just of curiosity i've measured my brothers airush varial '2012 bars throw. and it was 47cm exactly.

then measured my gaastra jekyll '2012 bar, at factory settings again 47cm!
but wait, you can adjust the bar throw on the gaastra bar! so i make bar throw at max and measured whopping 51cm!!!!!
and i don't even know about all the other kite brands bar throw measures...

talking about "on crack"...

wow, that was gaybrinha all the way. what happened. i guess it was balanced ok by the model. props to the model.

at least its still a kick ass bar. probably the best out there.

kind of surprising they didnt show the css (the actual leash attachment point/safety system in action, which works, as apposed to just showing the shitty effect of disabling onto an outside line for some reason)

I like the kite action after the safety is pushed out, it spins like a death loop until one of the lines breaks. Have you notice why sling shot gives you a extra safety line with each new kite? I have had that happen to me on my rpm kites.

How does the safety work?

It is not clear from the video if this flags to a single front line or two.

I totally hear you, but that little hoop of metal, is like the change naish made to their cleat in 2013. Just there to keep the line in close proximity to the cleat. Makes it work so much better. The techno speak is absolutely "gaybrinha"! Three zones. Pfffffft!

Cant help kinda like the bar.... and the model

Gaybrinha.... had to type it again!.... thats hilarious.

It flags to a single center line. Oh shit handles on the outside lines just in case which will make the kite spin if you have to use that release.

It's nice to have an alternate method just in case.

I've also heard the below bar depower is easier to adjust than before. That will be a huge help.
