standard stance ?

Postby mattthieu » Sat Jun 29, 2013 2:45 am

hi could anyone tell me what's the standard stance on a board ?

if i put 2 or 3 sets of inserts, what's the smalest and the farest ?

i stupidly sold my production board before noting the positions and all i have left are two rogue waves but theire custom made ( fore someone als that sold them to me ) so i'm not shure about they standardness !!

i know the holes are suposed to be 6 inch apart, ok, and the agle is also ok ( going to copy my rogues ) but, if one day i sell the board i like to have something like standard stance possibility .

is there a standard? some straps / bindings mount from holes that are parallel, some are staggered, straps are often staggered but boots and some straps have mounting holes in line the old ones are 6.25 inches I think a few still are, most have gone to 6 inch separation but you also have a bunch of manufacturers going to sliding track systems. I dont know if there is any width standard at all. I think the track system that a lot of manufactures go with now have a bigger range than the old systems. Ladies boards are gonna be more narrow stance than a men's board too.

Just go with what you want that's my advice. If you sell it, well it's a custom job, I don't think 1 or 2 inches in stance will make or break a sale here.
