Nop))

Sorry, my bad.. i didnt underline the fact that i luv that people describe it as "uber slow".

I mark it here in a positive way.. in a way that "this will probably be good for our purpose".
So probably (if not DYNO) then Slingshot Turbine can be an option. Only that you will need to use North bar (or make a "self made" MicroLoop version).

I have the Slingshot dealer on Boracay. But we have no wind here now.
So i dont think i can test 15m\17m\18m\19m (which are available) anywhere soon...

So, Toby it will be a good thing if you can run a test for 2012-2014 Turbines on that show in Germany.

few days I received this info:

On July 12th at the PKRA Germany event we will be releasing the rest of our 2014 gear on the beach for demo and product clinics.

So I guess I will test it ;-)

I have 93 kg.

The smaller the board, the more powered your kite can be.

Important for me is also the weight. The smaller, the lighter most of the times, but that will be a disadvantage for e.g. Kick flips. The wind will take it away.

Important are also big straps. I see many riders with problems getting back into the straps.
Once I show them how huge mine are, they make them bigger and then land the boardoffs easier.

Hello once again Toby!

The new question about the board :-)

- What year is it 2010?2011?2012? (Atho i think Radicals didnt change a lot for the last 3 years).
Anyway...

Question: What is the main "advantage" of that bard to you?
Is there anything special in the shape of the board or the main idea here is only that its a small one (129x38)?

Because ive check the market recently and i actually couldn't find a lot of boards which are less than 134\132sm.

And seems like Radical 4 S which is 126,5x37 is the smallest board on the market.
And i was only able to find some hardly-known manufacturers with same small boards, but seems like North\Cabrinha\F-one just dont make such small boards at all.

So, is there anything special in the "shape" of the board, or you dont give a damn about the shape - you just buy it because its the smallest one you can get?

It is the 2012 Radical S.

Since I don' test a lot of boards, I cannot really compare.

The board does what I need, that is important.
Not sure if it goes better upwind than others etc.

Important for me are:

- the straps (I need them huge and soft in the inside for twisting my foot to have the grip)
- the edging (so I can hold the power of the kite)
- the weight (too light and too heavy are bad for kick flips)
- the size (too big makes it less movable, e.g. Passes, full tail spins etc)

And since I am happy with my current board, I don't want to change, since my kite, board and me are one unit now so I can keep doing my tricks and invent even new ones.

I might be a bad example for the industry...but in the last 1.5 years I bought 5 kites and 3 boards!

HUh?!

You mean you buy 5x "DYNO 2011" and 3 "Radical S" ?!?!

Hmm... i know that you kite a lot but hell... does DYNO can sustain only about 3 months of use?!
And what happened with the boards? Its like you broke them or what?

Hehe why do you think that you are the "bad one" for the industry?
I guess its the opposite! Not a lot of people buy so many\so often gear during 1,5 years of kiting...

Yes, all the same!

Current condition after I bough 4 new ones and 1 used:
1x new
2x good
1x ok
1x pretty much dead

Boards all good.

I think if there is one time a perfect big kite, it can be a seller for many years.
No need to improve every year!

Sorry to ask, but why do you need 2 same "all good" FlyBoard Radical S ? :-)

I also ride flyradical s. But little warning from me.
With your weight it might give you spray. Depending on how big you sail your kite/how much pressure you put on your edging.
Eddy Lansink (the shaper of this board and famous for his big boosting jumps - see youtube) sails size M. IMO he has a different style of jumping, he sends the kite more than Toby does and Toby sails only bigger sizes.
The chance of spray becomes bigger when a bigger fellow sails a smaller board. It is no problem if your conditions are great, meaning no chop (which is very helpful for oldschool anyway). I find that spray is less of a problem when kiting a big kite in big winds.
So my advice is go bigger in kites before going smaller in boards. But if you are allready going big, then yes i like my S. Less to carry too.

YAAAY!

Just get my (used) Flyboard Radical S (128x38) from German Ebay.
Auction ended right 5 mins ago. I won the board for 200Euro (+ 40Euro shipping to Russia).

Well, maybe not the best deal of the century. But i wanted the small board & i didnt wanted the new 2013 "Radical" which cost 600Euro + shipping.

So yeah, im pretty much happy. Because logically thinking (tho im still on the market.. shoocing between DYNO 2011 \ Turbine 2013).... but if the question of kites might wait (i have 3 kites now including 16m Crossbow). But i was definitely need the "small" board if i ever want to progress somewhere.

Sorry for the offtopic :-) But just decided to share my positive vibes :-)))
