Fully stretched out, head facing directly up in the sky kind of like a backwards nod, kite at 90 degrees, body parallel to kite lines, don't bend your body - only lift your knee up in air, be careful not to become unhooked, preferably trip up on way down and body slap the water.

In all seriousness - you need to keep some elastic in your body, not fully stretched out - ligament - muscle bone and all - it's like a bit of depower and you need even way more if you are going to pass afterwards too..

I've been watching this video with Aaron while learning the trick and he's got very straight arms, which looks great, but...

Yeah I used to do them that way. I have been working hard at the cable park trying to get rid of bad habits.

Here is a shot of a blind judge just a little far away but you can see how I pull in close before I start to rotate.

Stretched out arms looks cool, but it is easier to learn the trick with bent arms. Then you have a shorter way around, and the bar is closer and easier to catch.

Like at the Cable. If you let your arms out you loose some power and height.
A streched "kite" railey does not really look that good imho..

Check out Lior and keep an eye on his arms, no matter what airtrick.. they are tucked..

Also compare this (arms tucked):

to this (straight arms):

Yeah it's hard to retrain out of bad habits. I catch myself going back to them every time I kite. Getting better though at realizing it and correcting them.

RideLow: I agree with you. The 313 at 1:30 is just a perfect example of how to load.

YES!!
Lior at 1:30 does it like I do it! Arms bent, but also elbows quite close to the chest!
I tried with straight arms today, and I have to say it was easier to get great pop and huge air that way, but I felt it in my shoulders... I didn't try to pull for the blind/pass today though, just the raley.
