Click on the line plan to see how it cambers the trailing edge for LW and easier reverse launch
Thank you for pointing it out :thumb:

But I still don't see the wind-range :-?
Any insight of the 12m range :?:
Also what is the Bar Pressure compared to similar sizes of Ozone Edge, Cab Velocity + Speed3 12m :?:

My insight
Let's see the 12m2 has 8.6m2 projected
That is real good for a 12m2 tube when you compare it for example to a 14m2 Rebel 2013
The Rebel 14 has also 8.6m2 projected......with estimated wind range of 10 to 23 knots

Now a Rebel 12m2 2013 with 7.5m2 projected....has estimated wind range of 12 to 27 knots

So i will guesstimate  the wind range for Cronix 12m2 at 11 to 25 knots

DrLw do you concur :?:

Actually I don't speak a word of German and yet I could follow really closely what he was saying, hence the universal language of someone reviewing a kite. Lol.

Very interesting approach indeed. How novel is that sand bag launch system! Love to see it in action.

Still pissed about the price!

Dude...that is so ironic you wrote this. The other day I watched a review of a kite by a dude speaking Russian and I could understand nearly everything he was saying about the kite and I don't speak a word of Russian! Total universal language when it comes to kite reviews.

hi,

i do not understand the complaint about the price. There are some even more exp. tubes around, considering incl. pump and bar and lines and...

Depends on the quality and preformance if this Cronix is worth it. Thumbs up for the inventions and the attempt to try new ways...

cheers,

Otti

You are correct...there are some expensive tubes, but these are from established companies with a reputation for good performance and quality control. Also, it is not too hard to demo or find a local kiter who can give some feedback or let you have a go on a (Naish, Best, Core, Cab, Ozone, Airush, LF, F1, SS, RRD ........ etc.)

The Cronix is Flysurfer's first attempt at an lei; I am sure that getting a demo will be challenging and you will not see these at your local launch. So to buy will be somewhat a leap of faith, and that price point does not encourage such a leap.

At this time if you shop around and do a bit of haggling, you can find 2013 gear at 25-30% off and some 2012 gear is going for 40-50% off.

So a $1900 complete set up is going for ~ $1450. Based on that, I think $1500 (10M) would be a good price point. If the kite proves to be awesome Flysurfer can increase the price when they have established a foot hold in the LEI market.

If you think the price of the kite is too much DON'T lay down the cash. Move on. Plenty of other options.
