you have a safety line with a ring on the end and
a chicken loop that opens on one end

and you can't figure out how to put these together to ride suicide :o

please tell me i am missing something
Yeah you can and I sometimes do but only when the wind is strong and gusty. I do this in case I need to flag while on land in an emergency. Other than that it gets in the way while unhooking at times and that can be annoying.

What are the line connections on Slingshot's bar? Pigtails or larkshead?
I can't find the thread that tells every manufacturer's line connection combination.
Thanks!

If it's like prior year's there are no pigtail connections on the bar end, everything is at the kite end. At the kite end you have larks head on the flying lines (outside) and knots on the center lines. Or maybe I have that reversed? :)

Regarding the colored line comments, where I think that is a nice feature, it's hardly something that would make me switch brands. It is a real "nice to have" in the snow environment, though. If anything just to stop some yo-you from skiing over your lines and cutting them with his edges. I wonder if you could take some fabric dye and do quick home job to your lines without affecting the line integrity? Nothing you want to have to do, but if I primarily kited on the snow, I'd probably try it instead of changing out my kites. $.02
