In September, 2010, Jordi Muns made the longest journey ever by kitesurf. He traveled 1300 km along the coast of Brazil, solo, while taping himself.
Everyday he had to launch and land his kite by himself in different wind conditions. Most of the time he did it successfully, but sometimes not.
He had to travel light,so he didn't have a place even for a tent in his bag pack. He was sleeping covered on one of his two kites that he brought with him(8 and 12 meters Ozone Catalyst)
Few times the wind died on him. First time he was about 1 km offshore, so he was able to self rescue and swim back.
But the second time he ended up more than 2 km offshore, so while he was swimming back the fishing boat saved him.
