anyone tried spraying Harken McLube onto the bridal insert ropes to prolong them? Does it make the rope so slippery that the pully just slides around or does the pully still roll well ? Just a bit concerned it could affect the turning and feel of the kite

I use it on my harness webbing all the time.. It makes my sticky webbing work like new again.

I use it on my gear. Anything that moves or wears against another item...McLube is great stuff and isn't going to damage anything. It's also great when you have to replace your chicken loop line or other things that require you to squeeze a new line through small openings. (there was no way to not make that sound dirty...I tried)
