I tried a foil board a couple of months back. Hard as hell! Everything you know about riding changes when you get on a foil board.

Using the right foil will make learning much easier.
I learned on the Rush Randle, but I found Carafino was easier to learn on.

Working on doing more of the former and less of the later. Good wind and wave conditions help a lot.

Rickl:
Is that an AirChair? did you get rid of the chair?

I think Rush got the foil assembly from AirChair but that is one of his 2003 Airboards.

A friend of mine has a Carafino, pretty nicely built.
I've been on it, behind a 1300cc jetski.
Not done it under a kite.
Needed the foot bindings for doing it with the ski.
Under a kite (especially strapless) looks far easier on your knees and ankles.
