The zigzag connection is very similar, we have one more zigzag for a smoother force distribution. We don’t want to affect the flex of the board, so that it rides 100% like a normal kiteboard.
The fixation mechanism of our board is also a bit different. So in these technical details, Nobile and we decided to go for different solutions.

Sizes:
Here we also have different range as Nobile:
We will offer one 134*41 (almost like Radical4 M), and Flydoor L 160*44 (like Flydoor L)
Would you say the riding feeling is like the Radical4 M?

Weight?
Rocker?
Splash water?

When will be the release week or month?

For the nobile deluxe version price should be around 1500€ can you say something about the flysplit price category?

Yes. We have that A, B and Brakelines Linesystem now well under control.
Do you think it is possible to even get simpler bridle in the future on a foil?
Yes, i think flysurfer did a foil called Viron with only A Lines and Brakelines :-).
So far, it is not that performant which is great for the Viron but not good for kites that need more upwindperformance. But maybe we can improve that too. Time will tell.
You said you were working on getting more power from the big sizes: does it mean that we can expect to see S4 in big sizes with actually the same power as S2 + the same ease of use as S3?
Yes,that is our goal and we are close to it already. The last 10% eats up 90% of the time. Keep your finger crossed.

Hi Armin,
We had discussion on french TLK forum about the bridle drag.
Is it peanuts compared to the force developed by the kite or an important force especially if you add extensions on the lines?
Can you give an order relation between all bridle/lines drag and power of kite ?

Is Speed4 aspect ratio/wing span similar to Speed3 of similar size?
Yes, the flat AR will be the same.
Is Speed4 21 better turning than Speed3 21 was?
Yes.
Has lift coefficient max changed a lot? Will Speed4 15 pull&glide me as well as Speed3 15 does at the same wind range?
The SPEED 4 Protos we fly right now have a better lowend.

Thanks, Armin

All riding characteristics are as good as Radical4 M.
We worked a lot to reach this goal, our first protos around 3 years ago didn't have such a undisturbed flex at the splitboard connection. Now with the zigzag tecnique it works very smoothly.

The weight of FlySplit M is 2.55kg, the normal Radical4 M is 2.3kg, so only 250g heavier.
This extra reinforcements are directly in the center, so you don't feel them while rotations, or riding in general.

Release date will be this autumn. The price will also be released then.

Thanks for your interest!

Hi,
issue: latest FS Bar-System quality warning

I. Does this warning include the Stand alone Infinity upgrade bar purchaised after 1.1.2013 - because this is not metioned in the official annoucement.

II. How will you solve this important quality issue and how long will customers of FS-Kites have to wait?

(if an answer was given in prior post, please refer to to the # of post)

Thank you for your services.

For Speed3: From the kite overall drag the bridle line drag is around 15% at a high angle of attack.
At low angle of attack it's more in percent, because the canopy induced drag reduces then.

Extension lines:
I have shortly calculated an example for you:
Speed3 without extension lines has a maximum Lift to drag ratio of pretty exactly 7.0.
With 12m extension lines, which is pretty much, the maximum Lift to drag ratio decreases to 6.5.
So 7% less.

Thank you for your services.

Sorry for the inconveniences in this case.
For Upgrade-Bars bought after 1.1.2013:
If it's size 60cm it's 100% ok, because these bars were produced earlier.
If it's size 50cm it can be one of the newer production which is affected. In this case please write an email to support@flysurfer.com, and we will send you replacement parts as soon as possible.
