Hi. During a lesson a young kiter was kiting at Ka'a Point when something went wrong with the kite, forced her to go to shore swimming. He left the board behind and when she was on the beach with her instructor, both saw it attacked a couple of time by a shark. For the entire story this is the link:
Ever since the law makers ban shark fins in Hawaii, there have been noted increases of shark attacks. I guess the law makers think surfer's lives are not as important as the sharks. Sharks are not even endangered like the turtle or the Monk seals they prey on.
That is the most moronic statement I have heard in a very long time. Do you really think shark finning is an acceptable means to reduce shark attacks? Perhaps someone ought to cut off your arms & legs then toss you into the ocean. You are an embarrassment.

...In Australia, box jellyfish are responsible for more deaths than snakes, sharks and salt-water crocodiles combined.
They have more than 5,568 recorded deaths since 1954 (worldwide).

that shark saw kiters every day but probably never took a bite because humans is scary!
it waited until the human was gone and nibbled on the board to see what it tasted like. it was just curious. That's how sharks investigate, they take a bite or two and see if you're tasty.
