Last time I was in Brazil it was easy to get my tourist visa extented after 3 month. I heart it is impossible to do so now.
Anyone know how it works now ?

Hi Morten,
What nationality are you? Do you have any other passports? Just send me a PM if you like and I will let you know.
Cheers

It's easy you just go to the local police station 10 or more days before your 3 month expires and ask for an extension.

Hi Jessica,
Local police stations are not authorized to make decisions here (you need to drive to Policia Federal in the State's capitol).
In most cases (for most countries) visa extensions exceeding a 3 months stay will be declined these days. So you better inquire before you book your flights (and pay a lot for flight changes because they send you away without an extension).
Cheers

Schengen area countries only 90 days. then out 90 days then again 90 days.
Or stay longer illegal and pay a fine when you left the country...

Thanks.
I am danish and I am first arriving in september. But I need to have a ticket out of Brazil for boarding the plain.
If I can just stay 3 month I will go to Catagena, Colombia after Brazil.
If you overstay, will you get a quarantine for entering brazil again. ( in Japan I did it and got 2 years
" not welcome " in Japan.
See you all in Combuco arear soon.
