I fly delta all the time and have never had an issue with my kitesurfing equipment. Just make sure your travel bag fits into the weight requirement.

Pro Tip: For Delta or any other airline if you are concerned about your equipment do a curb side check-in and make sure the attendant sees your generous tip in hand $10-$20. You will never have an issue regardless of weight or size

I flew Delta out of Maui and the a...hole gave me a lecture about my NSI bag being deceitful and charged me $175

Good luck

Max

PS. I try avoid Delta in principle

I think leaving Maui you will always get screwed. Lay back and enjoy...Mahalo.

Hey, thanks for replies :)

In the end I decided to take ticket form Air Alaska.
They charge 50$ for kite quiver and the price of the ticket itself was only 20$ more than Delta It cost me 433,50$.

I will let you all my experience when Im back (middle of Nov) :D

So... Air Alaska is a good choice. My quiver was taken as regular baggage.
Cheers.
