No, its somewhere in cali, i looked it up one day after seeing the waves in the background, they built a replica of the apts that he lives in as a set

Thanks for answering this question that has been bugging me since I saw that episode. I know Miami inside and out and could not figure out where they were shooting that scene. Makes sense now.
