I did convert at 5th element bar to fly a 4 line kite, but it is not ideal:

5th branches up high, and it can affect the shape of the kite - may or may not be important for Draft. By adding extensions you can reduce this effect.

You need to rig the safety system. One option is to attach the lower 5th to the Y so it flags both front lines (mini 5th setup). If the kite can safely flag this way, it is probably the best. It appears that some Naish kites can flag to both front lines, but I'm not sure about Draft.

Alternatively you can keep the 5th and attach it to the same place as one front lines. This will flag to one front line just as Naish bars, but the North bar will only flag a few meters, and this may not be enough to neutralize the kite.

The mini 5th setup does likely not require as far a bar travel is is probably better, if the kite supports it.

In the end, I went on a bargain hunt for a 2013 Blade Uni Bar. It is similar to the North bar in many ways, but flags properly to a single front line and has a low Y. Alternatively a Naish Universal Bar will of course work.

Thank you for your adwize
I have plenty of naish bars.
The rison for having north bar is to put on the mirco loop
The same as toby is using for airstyle
And north is the only brand that have tvis options.
But i order it. Will have it inn to dayes.
Hope it will work
First i will try to use your adwize with the mini 5th line

get the bar and see how you can do it. But there is also a 4 line bar from North where you can add the microloop (before 2013 bars)

Be aware that new North bars do not support the Microhook as far as I know. Perhaps it can be fitted to a 2012 bar.

Personally I have been dragged towards rock because microhook hooked unexpectedly, so I took mine off - but if you are used to using it, I guess it's different.

The North Quad bar also affects the kite shape, but perhaps not as much as 5th bar. But true, if it has microhook that would be an easier solution assuming the kite flags with mini 5th.

Edit:
you can probably move the front lines from one of your naish bars above the North depower trim and replace the North safety/5th line with the naish safety. You may need to adjust some knots on the leader lines to make all lines equal length then. Then you would have no issues with kite shape or flagging and still have the North micro hook setup.

I Fly all my Naish kites (Rides & Draft) on a standard North Trust Quad 2013 bar - no adjustments needed at all. Best purchase I made... Details here > http://www.kitesurfguernsey.com/reviews ... -bar-2012/

the microloop cannot be attached to the 2013 and 2014 North bar !

People who don't use the ML should not have it on the bar...and the ones who have it, twisted away for landing and launching!

@toby - yes - I just meant that my "High Y" has no discernible negative effects on my Naish kites, not that the 2013 is ML compatible. Sorry if that was :P confusing.

Yes it is working .
I have taken of the opper pice of the 5th line over th eY and fastned the last pice of the 5th line to the Y so it is working like a mini 5th line.
I tested it to day and it is working OK.
also I have put on extra 4 meter line so I have 29meter line.
I was out flying to day inn Wind over 20 knot and gust 30 knot with my 17m draft.
first time inn that much Wind I am a 97kg man . I was feeling a litle like Toby to day ha ha.
I had my 12m draft out as well, to test them against ich other.
There is no doubt with the hang time. With the 17m i have so much more hangtime and more stable during the jump, lesh scary to jump even I was way over poweret.

The micro loop I have to get use to, it was a Little bit strange to me. But ok it was the first time

I love to fly

wow, sounds like an epic session Lars! Would love to see a video one day how the flying looks like in this wind, keen to know how the Draft performs, like lift and hangtime.
