I doubt there are any national forums specifically to hydrofoils. There are still too few people using them, but I am sure that will change. Your Polish forums looks very nice! How many foilers are there in Poland if you had to guess?

In South Africa I know of two, and maybe three more people learning to ride. Talk about a small community.

Here in Denmark the "national forum" has been a facebook group. I believe that we will be more on foils than on raceboard in a near future. I have loved racing them but things go fast and it seams that raceboards are sooo last year. Only the one going for an Olympic campaign will continue. History repeating...

No foil crowds on the water either
There are around 10 foils and riders only. However there is rather big interest to try or buy it.
All top Polish racers want to learn it or are learning now.
I made a poll on the Polish kiteforum and results were like this:
4% owns a foil
27% wants to learn asap
44% would like to try
8% says that it looks great but don't want to try
16% admits that the thing is for freaks only
Your Polish forums looks very nice!
Thanks. As you see 50% of all posts are mine. I feel like some crazy activist
There are only 25 users registered on the Polish FF. Hope in a year will 10 times more.

What about Italian or US forums?

if there are any US forums, i've not found them yet. The US people are followers....no one using a foil in my area so likely there will never be any followers in my area. There is no active campaign or promotion to develop this side of the sport. Puerto Rico manufacturers the MHL lift, but their website is totally lacking and engineering details and they don't provide anything in their emails other than the price. They must be selling foils as fast as they can make them as they are not trying to encourage me to buy.

Here in Denmark we have at least 5 hydrofoil forums, one of them being a windfoil forum and the 4 kitefoil forums :D

Facebook is used almost entirely nowadays, for almost everything, and most forums are "closed" to avoid spam, to avoid deliberate theft plans, and last but not least to avoid ones family or boss to be able to see where you are ha haa :thumb:

To discuss foil specific topics of course

Eventhough regarding WHERE you want to go out and when, big general facebook (still closed of above reasons) groups are used - as very often we ride different types (TT, Wave, Hydrofoil) together and company is always good as the major problem is to avoid going out alone - which happens too often unfortunately...
And when talking about kite sizes in these big forums, we just add "hf" in the text, so noone gets confused if they only got a TT f.ex.

It also spreads the word much better, so now more and more get into foiling - GREAT !!!

IMO national forums make more sense for non-english speaking countries. Obviously for US foilers this one works quite well. Regional forums are more useful in US so there might be a foiling section in some of those if there are enough foilers in the area to contribute. More than likely, all foiling discussions are inside general forums though.
