My second build the Super zero 142x41 cm

Postby zero-industries » Sat Sep 28, 2013 9:59 pm

Hi my second build hope you like it.

Image
Image
using a wood plane to get the tips down to 3 mm

Image
i am using to use a mixture of epoxy, glass fiber and glass bubbles for the insert holes and stainless steel snowboard inserts.

Image
Image
setting up the rocker tabel to 5 cm center.

Image
the center of the board is 8mm and sloping down to the tips to 3mm, on the underside i made 3D water guide's.

Image
laying up the carbon (220 ud) for extra strength in the center and at the fin tips,
friend of mine broke his board at those points so i gave those points some extra attention.

Image
got the bottom done looking smooth need to sand down some spots, i am going to do a epoxy hot coat after i sanded the bottom and then put some UV lacquer on.

Image
did the top side, lay up glas 2x220ud 1x185kepper and 220ud carbon for the footpads, added some carbon strips that i had left over for decoration.

Image
Hope you like my new kitaboard!
i will post some more pictures after i have sanded, polishd and buffed the board.

greatz form Holland

interesting.

Though i'm not sold on the idea of carbon at the tips. that will stiffen the tips. which is opposite to what you want the tips to do. you want them to flex to absorb chop.

let us know how it goes.
