Hey Toby,

can you do a quick comparison between the 2012 Dyno 17m and the 2013 Fuse 18m, are they similar in power delivery and steering speed/bar pressure?

I figure the old 2011 18m has no competition so far for power yet but was wondering what you think of the Fuse overall compared to the 2012 Dyno.

Thanks,

Robbie :D

I have a Fuse 18 Proto.
For me the Dyno 17 worked better.

Still, Dyno 18 is a different world if it comes to jumping...luckily I still have 2....

... :o now thats a quick comparison!

Really not looking good for the Fuse then as I didn't like the 2012 Dyno as a freeride kite and if you say the 2012 17m Dyno worked better,,, bugga!!!! I've said it a few times now, the 2012 17m is a fine race board kite, just not as good as the 2011 18m..

I supose the one thing keeping the Fuse on my list is that the proto is different to the production kite, and the production version is better,,,, just guessing!

Thanks again!

Robbie :)

No need for a longer comparison.
Fuse turns faster. And even that is not better for me. ;-)

A Cabrinha guy told me, the Velocity 18 is also a good jumper.
Someone can compare?

... hey Toby, Robbie again,

Can you do a little comparison between the Rebel 16m to the Fuse 18m?

Reading between the lines, and if my conclusions are correct, the Fuse is more like the 2010 16m Rebel than the 2011 18m Dyno, and may have similar power delivery along with steering/bar pressures. I know you need more wind to tell how the Fuse flies before you give your opinions but I'm sure you can 'tell' or have an idea how it feels compared to the old 16m.

cheers,

Robbie :)

Rebel 16 better.
More stable, better lift and hang.

Again, I tested a proto. The original might be different.
Will try again in summer during worldcup in Germany, with other kites.

... ahh, now I have an idea, the Rebel 16 used to be my favorite up until the 18 Dyno came along. Ok, thanks for that. I look forward to your views on others too.

cheers,

Robbie :)

So Toby, is North going to re make your "perfect" Airstyle kite?
I will buy one, for sure :D

Put me in a list of potential Airstyle kite buyer. :) And push North harder.
