Tuning SS Compstick

It takes a few years to occur but the center lines do stretch over time. I use the lowest setting on the center pigtails so it doesnt leave me much room on that end. I knotted the ends of the lines to compensate but one was apparently longer than the other and was noticeable during flying. How do folks with compsticks account for their stretch?

If it's the flying lines I just rig my bar backwards. I do this ever so often so I don't end up with one steering line longer than the other. For the front lines I would just change out the pig tails and tune it there and not in the flying line it self. I ride Fuels so front and back lines stretch pretty evenly.

I think i have the compstick, do fuels always come w compsticks?

I just got my new fuel, used it twice. The first day it was definitely swayed towards the right, the second day it was barely noticeable. It was lighter wind though.

I plan on using it one more time to see w is up. I have no idea if the angle of the kite is good. It does feel awesome and was able to kite in less than 15 kts @ 185lbs with the 11M

lots of ways
a simple way is hook the chicken loop to something really strong and match the center lines
if one is short, put a screwdriver or whatever thru it and pull hard until it matches the longer one

you can put much more pressure on the line this way than you ever could kiting so just match them up

Not exactly that simple. The centers are longer than the steering lines so they need to be shortened. Apparently they cant be shortened at the bar so this leaves the ends. I already set the bridle to the lowest center line knot so that means I need to go into the center line itself and knot it because Im out of knots on the pig tail. When I knot the sleeves of the lines to take up the slack the knots are not exactly the same and it pulls one way...

no, just add a pigtail to the rear lines, done.

Yea, that was rather simple wasnt it..

I just stretch them. I've never had to shorten the lines.

I usually tie off all four lines on my trailer hitch and then just lean into the shorter lines until they stretch to match. Surprising how easy it is. Try that before you cut anything.

I put a nail in a post down at the beach, hook the line end over the nail and then pull on the bar as required....
