Hmm, Winter: Salun or Baishawan just gives me the city when searching on Google maps.
I will be in Taiwan next weekend, and was wondering if I sould bring my gear.
Where should I go, will there be wind, - and will it be other kiters there?
Frode.

Baishawan and Saluen are good. Most popular are Guanyin and Jhunan. You should visit Penghu too (very cheap flight from Taipei). All these spots are on Windguru. Also go to cwb.gov.tw for good weather forecasts (there's an English section).
Contact Nico for Guanyin

Jhunan is Tony

Thanks,
I don´t have time for a trip to Penghu this time, - maybe another time, - looks great.
The address: for Nico for Guanyin
http://nicowsf.wix.com/ does not work unfortunately.
Frode.

Guanyin usually has the strongest and very steady NE monsoon wind in all north Taiwan kitesurfing spots. At 73kg, I rarely use any kite bigger than a 7m in Guanyin. Guanyin waves are fun to play with but not the best due to strong side-onshore wind. See you there.
