Ye-ee-aa-ah… She's a liddle heavy.
I think due to the size, the 3rd top ply, is not needed. It's good and stiff.
Doesn't cut up wind well like the chubby girl. I'm unsure if this is due to the rounded rail or the size of the board.
The fins are fine. Even backwards. I can't tell the difference.
Food grade nylon cutting board material, in black or white is very cheap at plastic shops. I'd pass on the harder plastic fins somebody mentioned making them out of.
I'm might try just peeling off the top ply and sand it down. Maybe just build another.
I think @ 235 dressed, I'm just too big for this board. It seems to plow/not go up wind, and I must ride it fairly flat, so the nose gets pooped by waves and I do a header over the front.
And those Sync bindings suck. I had a good look at them and one of the reasons I did the toe-in mount was to make them work for me.
I've got small feets and they just don't feel right in the bindings. Too tight or too loose.
And if they're just right, if my foot falls out, they're a bitch to get the feet back into, and the inner lining slops around.
Don't like'em one bit.
