Does anyone know if the 2014 Best bar is now a complete single line flagging bar or is it still a mini 5th line flagging to both front lines?
There is no 2014 manual on the website and the photo of the bar on the site does not show the details above the depower clam cleat.
Thanks

The 2013 was a single line flagging, so I guess that 2014 will also be.

I work for Best so I can help clarify! The 2014 RP Bar is a single line flagging system. The benefits (which I'm sure you're aware of) is the 100% depower when flagging out and the ease of wrapping your lines when you self-rescue without any chance of the kite powering back up. We also have a ball on the flagging line, which keeps your bar from going all the way to the kite when you release the bar and most likely will keep your lines from becoming a mess of spaghetti when you try to relaunch haha
The bar has seen some other big changes like the clam cleat depower trim system (much cleaner system than the straps we had before). We also have back line adjustment under the bar floats instead of front line adjustment (now the center lines are have a simple splitter and bar juggling is a breeze), and improved ergonomics of the bar/grip.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions, I'm more than happy to help!

Sorry for not having the user manuals up on the website, we were just waiting on the dev-team adding the new database for the support content.
You'll find all the 2014-2009 product manuals, tech notes and how to features at
http://www.bestkiteboarding.com/en/support
The direct link for the 2014 Bars manual is given below. If there's anything else you would like to see added to any of the manuals let me know. I can add the content directly to the manuals or we can add new sections to answer specific questions. Just let us know what you would like.

I'll stick the older product catalogues up in mutliple languages tonight and the 2014 P-cat should be up next week, we are just waiting on production versions of the new pad/strap combo's to finalize it.

Thanks guys for the info
The manual doesnt really show the above the bar stuff. Do you have photos or diagrams that show how it is all set up from QR to center line connection point?
Thanks again. 2014 stuff looks great.

I'll add it into the manual or add a 'tech note' to the support page later this week.
Here's the picture you want though. This shows what happens at the point where the front lines split out to the kite.

Simon
Thanks for the figure. I'm still a little confused I guess. On the RP bar, is the redline attached to that loop or is the redline passing through that loop to the front flying line? Is there a stopper ball?
I don't know why but no matter what promo or private party video I watch, no one is showing what is happening above the bar.

Redline goes to the swivel and is connected to one of the frontlines -> after release the kite is on one frontline. And yes there is a stopper ball far out in that line so the bar won´t go all the way to the kite. And you can move the stopper if you choose to do so.
New RP-bar is very clean and efficient from top to bottom.
