High buoyancy rating vest suggestions?

Not a lot of responses in the safety section so trying the water specific community.

I'm currently using an NPX Immortal (don't know what it's rating is) but I sit lower than I'd like to in the water. Can anyone recommend me another brand/model high hook harness friendly vest with a high buoyancy rating?

I use a jet ski life jacket with a zipper front . They may be too much
bouncy for you because i have 10Lb more weight on the lower
end of my body than you do. It does have a good amount of padding
though , and has saved me a broken rib on more than a few occasions.

Won't cost Ya anything to go try one on ; i think you could even rent one ?

Your NPX immortal is not coast guard approved. I experienced the same immproved float desire when wearing a non coast guard approved Dakine Impact Vest. Any coast guard approved vest is what you are looking for. I've since used ski and kayaking vest and prefer the latter.

If you wear a seat harness then you can use any of the sail racing jackets:

Don't use something with side adjusting buckles. They point load into the ribs when you fall sideways. Quite painfull.

Look for kayak life jacket, comfy cheap and wont get in the way of your harness

I agree with the suggestion of a PFD for kayaking. CG approved, excellent arm movement and no interference with harness. Canada requires the use of a CG approved PFD for kiteboarding though I have yet to see or hear of enforcement.
