Hi, just bought a Blade Fate Lady which I plan to use with my Core ESP bar. AFAIK the original Blade bar has 4 equal length lines, same as ESP.
My main concern is that ESP has front lines in Y (split couple meters from depower) while Blade bar has more V (lines split immediately after depower).
Should I expect any issues? Has anybody tried similar setup?

Feel - I sometimes use a 24m Naish 4 line bar with a high Y split.. on my Epic Infinity and it flys very well - the wing tips pull in a little (not much) but helps to stabilise the leading edge more, turns faster and increases its top end range - in exchange for about 2 knots bottom end... Your line lengths are more important for bottom end.
Try using at least 25 to 27m lines for light winds, get some extensions then all good.
Have fun

that's what I was afraid of - I bought this kite to have the best low end possible. Will get the extensions then. Thanks!

If you bought a new kite i think there should be 4m extensions in the bag.

Rode the Fat lady today and a few other days with a slingshot 2014 compstick bar which was a little wider and it really speeds up an already fast turning kite.

Thought I'd try my 2011 Cabrinha 12m Bar on my 2013 Fat Lady to see how it goes.
Well it worked a treat, dare I say it but the Fat Lady seem to like it even more the
the Blade Bar and I had one of my best yet sessions using it.
The larger throw meant better handling in the gusts and its hard to beat
the smoothness of the plastic depower line...I may actually keep on using it now...

I use my airush 2013 smart bar on the 62 cm setting with my 2013 fatlady and is works pretty good.I didn't get the blade bar so I can't compare, but I did try my ozone bar too, but the ozone has less bar throw (but you can trim it further on the depower line).
Fatlady turned much better with the bigger bar, and the extra throw was really a must, because this kite needs more depower throw to depower the kite when needed in puffs. I acutlly wish there was more depower throw in my airush bar.

I was using a highly modified Peter Lynn 07 bar for my 2013 FL. 20 inches of throw, with 10 inches of depower on the strap. Worked great with gusts to 19mph
Just got a 2013 SS compstick. Length is a bit shorter, but the FL still turns fine. The throw is 18inches, but only 7 inches of depower. Not enough I feel. I'm hoping to replace the chicken line with something longer, but I need to come up with a longer stretch-flag line.
Because the FL is so wide, the cross point of the lines is closer to the bar than SS would imagine. So the leaders off the end of the bar interfere with where the lines cross (the top lines are longer than the bottom lines on the compstick, but the overall length with bar leaders is about equal). I replaced the leaders off the bar with shorter leaders.
